If the moon falls down from heaven;
crashes through the earth to Hell,
and the sky turns dark in anguish,
with its lover's light withheld,
and time stops to see the descent;
looks down and looses it’s resolve,
and the Sun tries until its spent,
but cannot mend what has been lost;
I will still have all I need;
I will have love and strength from you.
If I wake to find all the world against me,
hatred thrown at me in all their words;
if an army takes me for their enemy,
and I am left dead on the black shores;
if I am accused a criminal,
and imprisoned forever more,
I will be able to survive it all,
I will find asylum always in your love.
Your love is the key to my strength;
It is the firefly in my pitch black night;
It is something which words cannot express –
This feeling between you and I.
If the moon falls down from heaven;
crashes through the earth to Hell,
and the sky turns dark in anguish,
with its lover's light withheld,
and time stops to see the descent;
looks down and looses it’s resolve,
and the Sun tries until it’s spent,
but cannot mend what has been lost;
I’ll tell them of your love for me;
They'll understand, and all will be assuaged.
congratulations, you have single-handedly rekindled my faith in poetry.

Thank you.

When I got to that point in the poem I was like, I really need to have a line that people will catch in here," so I thought for a while, and came up with a completely different line. Then later when I was revising this poem I suddenly got that line, which I still think could be better, but I am quite harsh on myself. Its a great thing to love love, thats what its all about sometimes.
